Description
On October 5, 1884, the Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo inaugurated what would become the most important race in the yearly calendar, the Gran Premio Nacional. This great prize is also known as the "Argentine Derby". This outstanding 2500-meter race is very attractive for the public since due to the distance the start is located facing the grandstands. Other classics (GI) are included in the day's schedule: Gran Premio Hipodromo de Palermo and Gran Premio Maipu.
